Services

Cape Cod Meditation Circle Services start with a prayer followed by a reading from the inspirational writings and lectures of Paramahansa Yogananda and/or SRF Monastics, and by devotional chanting leading into silent meditation periods of 10 to 45 minutes. Our Services are concluded with a healing Prayer Service as part of the Self-Realization Fellowship World Wide Prayer Circle. (please check the Calendar page for the latest updates and changes to schedules and locations)

Starting in November we will have in person Wednesday Services only on the first day of the month at the Jacob Sears Memorial Library. We will have a Zoomed get together the other Wednesday’s of the month. We’ll post the log in information soon.

We are proud to announce that on December 10th we will have Monastics visiting from the SRF Center. Starting at 4:00 at the Jacob Sear Memorial Library, and lasting until 8:30, we will have Monastic lead Kirtan and meditation, and a potluck dinner after, around 6 – 6:30.

Our all day Christmas Meditation will take place December 15th at the Jacob Sears Library. More information will come as we get closer to the date.

Two Hour Meditations: (currently suspended)

On the first Sunday of each month there will be a two hour meditation. On this day, the Inspirational Service will be from 9am to 9:45am  and the meditation service will begin at 10:00am with chanting at 10 minutes to the hour and the meditation concluding at 12pm. If you are unable to stay for the two hours, we ask that you leave during the chanting periods

Kirtan Services: (currently suspended)

A Kirtan and Meditation Service is held the first Wednesday of every month starting at 7:00pm and ending a 8:30pm.

Chanting, or kirtan, helps to arouse devotion and interiorize one’s consciousness. Through concentration and repetition one’s attention becomes wholly absorbed within upon the devotional thought that is being expressed.
